Dear Friend,
When we first began our work in 1980, we did not imagine the incredible joy and success we have experienced in undertaking the challenge to “Write Women Back into History.” Thank you for your part in making this historic transformation possible.
In 2010, we have an extraordinary opportunity to honor, promote, and expand our country’s knowledge of the accomplishments of women. We will be celebrating the 30th anniversary of the first National Women’s History Week, AND the country will be honoring the 90th anniversary of U.S. women winning the right to vote.
We are partnering with a broad array of educational and women’s organizations to ensure that 2010 is a banner year for women’s history. We have created a Writing Women Back into History Gazette to showcase the wide range of organizations, historic sites, museums, authors, and performers who are now writing women back into history.
You are invited to join the National Women’s History Project, our 2010 Partners, thousands of other organizations, and the tens of thousands of people who will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the multicultural women’s history movement and the 90th anniversary of women in the United States winning the right to vote.
For more information about being included in our January WWBH Gazette or to join the 30th Anniversary Campaign, visit the 30th anniversary section of our webstore.
Our work is made possible by the generosity of our supporters. Please consider donating to ensure that we will be able to do the important work of honoring, celebrating, and recognizing women’s historic achievements.
I look forward to working with you throughout 2010.
Best wishes,
Molly
